Judy Lin Walsh is a Partner at BanyanGlobal. Her specialty is working in complex family ownership systems to align the goals of the senior and next generations. Judy’s passion is helping families realize the power of their collective platform to make their mark on world. She excels at appreciating and bringing together the perspectives of both senior and next generations. As a result, Judy builds long-term, trusted relationships with her clients, guiding them through their planned transitions and the inevitable challenges and growth opportunities along the way.
Judy has written extensively on family enterprise topics and has been published in Harvard Business Review, Trust & Estates, Family Business Magazine, The Practitioner, and quoted in The Financial Times. She is frequently asked to speak at institutions including the Family Firm Institute, Goldman Sachs, National Trust Closely Held Business Association, Harvard Business School, among others, on the topics of generational transition, inheritance, entrepreneurship, and governance. Prior to Banyan, she was at Accenture and Goldman Sachs, but her first job was in a family business owned by close family friends. The interplay between business and family relationships sparked Judy’s lifelong interest in family enterprises.
Judy and her husband, Nate, met at Dartmouth and now live in Boston with their daughter, Lily, and corgi puppy, Hank the Tank.

- Judy was Captain of the women’s ice hockey team at Dartmouth and member of the men’s varsity squash team at MIT.
