Back To Our People

Nick Di Loreto is a Partner and part of the founding team at BanyanGlobal. Having worked with over 30 families from across the globe, Nick enjoys most getting to know families as people, understanding how they positively affect their communities, and helping them to see their opportunities and challenges through new lenses. In client relationships, Nick has deep experience running complex processes that bring people together, build a common understanding, and help families and owners see the whole picture so that they can find common ground in situations they wouldn’t think it otherwise possible.

An expert in complex owner transitions, governance, and entrepreneurship, and passionate about sharing ideas, Nick frequently speaks and writes for organizations including Harvard Business Review, Family Business magazine, FFI Practitioner, Trust & Estates magazine, wealthmanagement.com, Trusted Family and more.

Nick was born and raised in the Midwest and was first exposed to family business in high school when he worked in his family’s medical technology business. Reporting professionally to his father, Nick came to appreciate first-hand the tensions, the complexity, and the deep sense of accomplishment that can result from achieving business success with close family members. Ultimately choosing to pursue his career outside of his own family business, Nick was a consultant at Accenture and an energy sector credit analyst at Standard & Poor’s prior to joining Banyan. Nick came East and never went back, thanks to his New England-born wife and his three daughters. While he may not reside there, Nick remains a die-hard Detroit sports fan, much to the chagrin of many of his colleagues. He also is a runner and a self-proclaimed amateur chef who enjoys exploring local fare with the families he works with around the globe.
