About the role

The HR Manager plays a key role in developing, implementing, and managing the firm’s Human Resources programs. S/he is responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of Banyan’s people processes and employee life cycle. This includes talent acquisition and development, employee relations, benefits support, policy development and maintenance, and ensuring compliance with all local, state and federal employment laws. S/he will be also involved in strategic initiatives and interact closely with Banyan’s People Committee and other firm leadership to support the organization’s objectives.

What you’ll do

Talent Acquisition:

  • Develop and implement recruiting strategies to proactively search new talent for Banyan
  • Propose effective alternatives to improve Banyan’s employer brand across different candidate pools and networks
  • Build Banyan’s professional network through relationships with HR professionals, business schools, and other talent acquisition partners
  • Work with the Firm’s leadership to forecast hiring needs, plan for recruiting cycles, and budget the adequate level of future resources
  • Ensure that Banyan’s recruiting process is continuously improving, with high quality, efficiency and compliance compliance, and efficiency
  • Track and analyze recruiting metrics
  • Conduct annual benchmarking studies to ensure we remain competitive in the marketplace

Learning and Development:

  • Work with the People Committee to create and support the best professional development opportunities for our people, so they can grow, be successful and enjoy their careers at Banyan
  • Manage the Firm’s performance review process and help identify individual and collective development needs, based on the learnings from the reviews and also ad hoc feedback
  • Work to continuously improve Banyan’s performance management program.
  • Manage the new employee onboarding program, and continue to develop a best-in-class onboarding experience for new hires
  • Contribute to the development and management of individual and collective training programs for our teams
  • Act as a key member of internal staffing team focused on coordinating personal development opportunities with staffing needs

Firm Culture and Engagement:

  • Engage all levels of the organization and provide confidential and meaningful conduits for important employee feedback to be shared and acted upon
  • Recommend ways to continuously improve our people’s experience at the Firm
  • Observe trends that might impact in our people well-being and engagement: workload, connection to the Firm, dialogue and communication, etc.
  • Conduct exit interviews

Total Rewards:

  • Work with firm leadership to identify and routinely evaluate the organization’s total rewards philosophy
  • Work with Banyan’s professional employment organization and Banyan’s finance team to manage benefits enrollments and determine employee eligibility
  • Work with the finance team to analyze Banyan’s benefits plan each year and suggest options to firm leadership
  • Stay current on hiring, compensation, and benefits trends

HR Administration:

  • Identify, monitor, and evolve the People Metrics dashboard that influence business decisions
  • Contribute the development of our People management goals, objectives, and priorities
  • Plan, organize, and control the activities and actions of the HR area.
  • Identify and recommend areas of improvement to internal processes, including team restructuring

HR Policies and Procedures:

  • Create, maintain, and recommend HR policies and processes
  • Work to ensure clear communications and understanding of all processes and policies
  • Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable HR federal and state. requirements, conducting investigations, and maintaining records
  • Conduct background checks for all new hires

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, Organization Development or other related field
  • Advanced degree and SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred
  • 8-10+ years of progressive experience in HR roles
  • Direct experience with sourcing, recruiting, and talent development, preferably within Professional Services Firms
  • Desire for professional with DE&I experience
  • Ability to work both tactically and strategically
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Talent for building trusted relationships and have strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to proactively identify and implement effective solutions
  • Experience working with a geographically dispersed and diverse team members
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving approaches and the ability to influence
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, and judgment in filtering and directing information
  • Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint
  • High level of confidentiality and discretion
