Aline Porto is a Partner at BanyanGlobal. She came to Banyan after working with the Monitor Group for 12 years. As a Partner at Monitor, she co-led the creation and development of the firm’s family-owned business practice in Brazil. In this role, she helped the firm’s family clients deal with a wide range of challenges in governance, business strategy, organizational strategy, and leadership development for family members and for family business executives. She also contributed to the design and implementation of non-profit programs supported by family-owned businesses.
Her work at Monitor led Aline to turn to the non-profit sector after she left the firm. She became the Director of Education at the Ayrton Senna Foundation, one of Brazil’s most renowned NGOs. The Foundation has fostered the development of children and teenagers through educational programs for more than 20 years. This exposure reinforced Aline’s interest in working with the next generations in family business.
When she is not working with families, Aline translates her passion for ideas and curiosity about people into opportunities for exploring archetypal narratives and for inventing fresh perspectives. She travels yearly to new geographies to engage with unusual and diverse cultures in the hopes of creating a common language that can transcend national borders and individual differences.
Aline got her BS in production engineering at Universidade Federal de São Carlos, Brazil, and her MBA at INSEAD in France. Portuguese is her native language; she is fluent in English and has a working knowledge of Spanish.
