JoEllen Ross, a Partner at BanyanGlobal, has 40 years of experience as a tax and financial analyst. Starting her career with Arthur Andersen (Andersen), she worked predominantly in the tax field with closely held businesses and entrepreneurs rising over her 20 years there to become Managing Partner of Andersen’s Orlando office.
JoEllen then joined Greenberg Traurig law firm and began an ongoing partnership with colleague Steve Salley in a practice that delivered integrated wealth planning for families and their businesses by combining financial and tax accounting and law.
Continuing their partnership, JoEllen and Steve joined GenSpring Family Offices in 2004, one of the nation’s largest multi-family offices, where she was Chief Fiduciary Operating Officer and Co-Director of GenSpring’s Family Business Center, deepening her expertise in family business ownership issues.
She currently serves on an advisory board of Lighthouse Central Florida, a non-profit organization committed to helping people who are vision challenged to “live, learn, and earn.”
JoEllen received her BA from Michigan State University and is a Florida CPA. She loves to travel, play tennis, golf, and entertain friends. She lives in Orlando with her husband and enjoys having their two daughters close by.
