Thiago Penido is a 3rd generation member and one of the shareholders at Grupo Serveng, a family-held infrastructure conglomerate with segments such as electricity, heavy construction, real estate, mining, transportation, and public concesions. He currently serves as a member of the sharholders’ council at Grupo Serveng and a board member at FLUPP, his family’s foundation dedicated to philanthropy projects in education.

As a consultant, Thiago is the co-founder of Trail Governança e Sucessão, providing family business advisory services such as governance in family, property, and corporate levels; executive and property succession; and next generation education, among others. He is an independent consultant who works with Banyan on individual projects where the client can benefit from his expertise.

Prior to founding Trail, Thiago  worked for F. Curado helping more than 20 family businesses. He also worked as a consultant for Kearney.

Before his life as a consultant, Thiago worked for Grupo Serveng, at first in the heavy construction division where he started as a site engineer and evolved to Operations Superintendant. He also led the strategic planning process for the enture group when he moved to work for the holding company.

Thiago earned his MBA from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School and graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering from FAAP. He has dedicated his life to sports and was a professional race car driver for many years in different divisions.
