As an experienced Practice and Knowledge Manager you will shape how we identify, capture, curate, and connect knowledge across the firm. You will also collaborate closely with our advisory staff and key stakeholders to connect individuals, develop our Practice Areas, and promote firm-wide continuous improvement.
What You’ll Do
- Coordinate Knowledge Management (KM) and learning activities
- Systematize and run Learning-to-Know (LTK) process across client projects including:
- Pre-project LTKs: Objectives, hypotheses, and success criteria
- Mid and post-project LTKs to capture lessons and content in digestible formats
- Manage the firm’s Master Library including curating content
- Share outputs across the firm, feeding the firm knowledge and training libraries
- Design and coordinate new and existing learning initiatives and activities
- Systematize and run Learning-to-Know (LTK) process across client projects including:
- Connect teams and individuals
- Spot opportunities for collaboration between projects (e.g., similar owner strategy challenges, sectors, or governance issues)
- Facilitate lightweight cross-project sharing (e.g., quick connect calls, resource swaps, “have you talked to…” nudges)
- Help new team members integrate quickly
- Develop and support firm Practice Areas
- Support Practice Area leads to set priorities, source content, and tackle projects
- Coordinate quarterly Practice Area meetings and/or learning sessions
- Build and manage a system to facilitate connections
- Maintain a live picture of all client teams, objectives, and timelines
- Ensure information flows between staffing, finance, and practice leadership
- Identify overlaps, synergies, or gaps across projects.
- Scan Banyan’s competitive environment for emerging ideas
- Stay abreast of learning trends, theory, and technologies including AI
- Partner with HR and leadership to align resources in support of these efforts
- Build a solid understanding of our client work and how we deliver it, including potentially shadowing/participating in client engagements
What You’ll Bring
Our ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and competencies:
- Bachelor’s Degree, Graduate Degree preferred
- Minimum of 6 years related professional experience within professional services is preferred
- Intellectual curiosity and an ability to distill insights from conversations, documentation, and project experiences
- A consultative approach: excellent communication and influencing skills to communicate effectively and credibly, both verbally and in writing with audiences at all levels
- Structured project management skills and an ability to manage multiple initiatives effectively
- Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision, showing initiative and flexibility to accommodate changes
- Effective leadership skills and ability to define a vision and motivate peers to participate in bringing that vision to life regardless of clear authority to do so
- Strong analytical and diagnostic skills, ability to spot themes, patterns, and opportunities
- Ability to show discretion in dealing with sensitive information
- Ability to design, test, iterate, and refine solutions
- Good understanding of business and adult learners’ needs and how to translate that into learning actions
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (including PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Word)
*This role is based in Boston with hybrid flexibility.
The expected base salary for this role is expected to be between $130,000 and $185,000 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will vary depending on factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, skillset, experience, and/or performance, and other considerations. The comprehensive compensation details, inclusive of discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits, will be communicated upon finalization of the employment offer. The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
