Alison Isaacson is a Principal at Banyan. Alison is particularly interested in helping owner’s evolve their governance to create opportunity for the next generation to become involved. She also has deep experience in family office design. Alison has authored articles in Harvard Business Review and Trusts & Estates Magazine.
While Alison spent a couple summers working for her family’s foundry business in Indiana, she didn’t discover her excitement about working with family businesses until an MBA internship offered the opportunity to interact with the fourth, fifth, and sixth generations in a family business. Prior to Banyan, Alison worked in financial services. Outside of work, she serves on the board at Charlestown Nursery School. Alison lives in the Charlestown neighborhood in Boston with her husband, two daughters, and dog.
Fun facts:
- Alison’s father worked with her paternal grandfather and uncles in her family’s foundry business, while her maternal grandfather and uncles worked together in their moving business; growing up, she thought everyone worked with their siblings.
- Alison has climbed four of the Tetons as well as Mount Kilimanjaro.
