Kate McDonald is a Principal at Banyan. Kate is passionate about helping families tell their story and imagine how they will build upon it together. She believes families have the unique ability to influence the culture and social architecture of their communities and takes great joy in helping them steward that legacy with intention.
Prior to joining Banyan, Kate was a management consultant at Bain & Company, where she advised organizations on strategy and transformation. Her experience helping leaders clarify priorities and make difficult decisions shapes her approach to working with families today. Kate received her MBA at Oxford where she loved being part of storied tradition and building relationships with people from all over the world.
Kate lives in Atlanta with her sprocker spaniel, Stelly. Outside of work, she enjoys hosting dinner parties, writing, spending time with family, and visiting friends near and far.
Fun Facts:
- Kate spent a year in Oxford studying theology with a focus on the mystics.
- Kate spent six months in South Africa, and one of the highlights was participating in a rhino surgery through a conservation program.
