Hans Latta is a Senior Advisor, working with Banyan as an independent consultant supporting our clients who can benefit from his expertise. Hans’ specialty is helping clients navigate the nexus of legal, financial, emotional, and social forces to arrive at creative solutions together, with a particular focus on family enterprises owned in multigenerational trusts.
Hans grew up in a 4th generation family business and was the first of his generation to enter as an employee. After five years, Hans decided to leave the family business and pursue his MBA at Harvard Business School, and he later made the decision to exit from ownership.
Hans often leverages his legal education and experience when advising family businesses all over the world, helping translate legalese into plain speak.
Hans commutes between Philadelphia and the Philippines, where his wife Kristine (a Wharton MBA) owns and operates a 2nd generation family business (gas stations, restaurants).
