Back To Our People

Sam Gant is a Principal at BanyanGlobal. He is passionate about helping family owners define their values, and applies his experience in philanthropy to help owners articulate strategic plans and build impact-driven companies. Sam excels at managing complex projects, and supports families to structure productive, eye-to-eye, and outcome-driven conversations to make progress towards shared goals. Prior to Banyan Sam spent six years working on projects in Africa. He spent two years working for economic development NGOs scaling their operations in Uganda and Burkina Faso before he transitioned to the gold mining sector, where he implemented social responsibility programs on mine sites in Ghana and Burkina Faso. He worked as a behavioral change consultant to UNICEF Mali in two regions to design social norms interventions against child marriage and infant malnutrition. He currently lives in Boston with his partner, and escapes the city as often as possible to hike, bike and backcountry ski in the White Mountains.
