As a Principal at Banyan, Samica Telhomme helps owners align on their goals, resolve conflict, and navigate through major organizational transitions to build a lasting business. Samica’s expertise is in Owner Strategy, communication planning, shared asset use policies, and designing governance structures. In her projects, Samica focuses on connecting with each family member to understand their individual ambitions and challenges, so she can help the family work better together. She has even used this approach with multiple families with more than 85 family members.  

Before Banyan, Samica attended Duke University, then joined Accenture where she supported multiple Fortune 500 companies with change management, people development, and HR strategy. Currently living in Boston, Samica enjoys reading non-fiction books, traveling to escape the Boston cold, watching YouTube videos on arbitrary topics (such as electronics recycling), and exploring restaurants with friends. 

Fun Facts: 

  • Samica grew up in her family’s third-generation retail business. One of her earliest memories involves measuring fabric while her grandmother organized orders for uniforms.  
  • Samica played tennis competitively and was a top-ranked player in Haiti. 
  • Samica loves learning new skills. Currently, she’s learning sketching and skiing.
